
Project Officer

Join us in a pivotal role that will shape the long-term direction of our community. As the Project Officer, you’ll lead the review and redevelopment of council’s Strategic Plan and supporting frameworks, ensuring they reflect current priorities and position the organisation for a sustainable future.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Supporting the coordination of the five-year review of council’s Strategic Plan
- Engage with stakeholders to identify gaps, priorities, and improvement opportunities
- Reviewing council’s corporate strategies to ensure they align with legislative and community expectations, and the reviewed Strategic Plan framework
- Develop a streamlined reporting framework, working in conjunction with the Policy and Reporting Officer
- Ensure all processes meet governance and compliance standards
**About you**:
- Experienced in strategic planning within government or similar environments
- Skilled in managing complex documentation, stakeholder input, and tight deadlines
- Excellent writer with the ability to produce clear, purpose-driven reports and strategies
- Strong communicator and collaborator who builds trusted relationships across teams
- Organised, self-directed and confident working in a project-focused environment
**What we offer you**:
- Base salary between $89,760.55 and $99,774.18 pro-rata will be offered (dependent on skills and experience) + 12.5% superannuation
- Fixed-term - 12-month contract, part-time - 3 days per week
