Analytics Lead

**About the Role**:
As the Analytics Lead you will be responsible for the systems, processes and quality assurance of our Analytics and Support function of MaxMine. This team is tasked with product support, analytics and business intelligence reporting functions as a core offering of our MaxMine service.

**About You**:
You’ve demonstrated experience in applied analytics in a similar setting and you’re looking for an opportunity to step up and own our Analytics and Support team, in a people leadership capacity. There is significant scope for learning and development, as well as the chance to meaningfully shape how we support our clients with new and innovative approaches.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- 5+ years of experience working in an applied analytics role or function
- Experience programming with Python, SQL and data warehousing technologies
- Understanding of business intelligence software and platform capabilities, including big-data technologies
- Demonstrated people leadership skills
- Customer oriented mindset, focused on balancing the need for quick responses and high quality service experience
- A systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills and drive to deliver results

**Preferred**:

- An engineering background, or domain equivalent experience, in either mining, mechanical, aerospace or heavy industrial sectors
- Application of non-standard analyses to complex problems, ideally leveraging data or simulation approaches
- Consulting experience, where you are able to present complex ideas clearly and precisely

**Responsibilities**:

- Translate business requirements and direction to team goals and objectives
- Lead the team of people across support, analytics and reporting to evolve our service offering and improve customer experience outcomes
- Create and manage reporting on team activities for billing and internal reporting purposes
- Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services from inception and design, through deployment, operation, and refinement.
- Shape the team responsibilities and career development of individuals in your team.
- Work with other leaders in the business to maximise MaxMine’s service value and ensure alignment with other activities.

**Our Technology**:
We work with a range of technologies across the full spectrum of analytics and data-science. Our analytics platform is based on;
- Snowflake
- DBT
- AWS Cloud & Terraform
- Python, bokeh and holoviews
- Power BI and Power BI robots

You don’t need to know all of the above, but need to be willing and able to learn. There is also scope to bring new technologies to our platform team where they fit within our existing technology and can demonstrate business value.
