We are looking for an experienced Injury Leader to join and lead our dedicated Injury team on a **12-month contract**. This role leads a high performing and customer-responsive team that works strategically to identify opportunities and deliver assurance and continuous improvement initiatives that support RTW and scheme outcomes.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Help to develop, implement, drive and monitor the performance and sustainability of injury management practices to support optimal recovery and return to work outcomes for workers and uplift claims teams injury management capabilities.
- Monitor and ensure legislative requirements and compliance are met. Identify trends and opportunities to continue to enhance case management and injury management practices to support optimal outcomes for workers.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation. Maintain awareness of industry developments and trends and respond effectively to changes.
- Create and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, internal clients, and the management team by displaying our values and behaviours.
- Building the team’s talent bench strength including strategically contributing to performance management and succession.
- Continually monitor, evaluate, and review team workloads, overall team resources and team member performance to ensure distribution is appropriate to skill base and in line with business model.
- Monitor agreed contractual measures and internal service level standards and provide feedback to ensure continuity and improvement of outcomes. Including completion of accurate reporting on a monthly basis in regards to contractual measures, projects, initiatives, coaching targets and outcomes.
- Provide support and advice on high-complexity and high-risk claims that extend beyond the expertise of the injury management specialists.

**ABOUT YOU**
- More than **3+ years** demonstrated experience working in an **injury management role** or something similar.
- Demonstrated **people management and leadership experience**:

- Strong experience **managing and developing teams** within a personal injury environment
- **Extensive knowledge** and **demonstrated understanding** of the Workplace Injury Management Act, Workers Compensation Act and SIRA Standards of Practice and Guidance material is crucial for this role,
- Qualifications aligned to **Allied Health** is essential for this role
- Experience in **developing and leading initiatives** to improve injury management practices, and development and implementation of training and resources is desirable
