Job Description\

As a Clinical Nurse Consultant, you will lead advanced clinical care in minor injury and illness, mentoring teams and driving innovative patient-centered care across multiple sites in Metro South Health.

You will provide expert clinical leadership and consultancy, supporting assessment, treatment, and referral of minor injuries and illnesses. You will work autonomously and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality, person-centered care.

\Key Responsibilities:\
  • Delivering advanced clinical care and decision-making for minor injury and illness patients.
  • Providing mentorship, education, and clinical supervision to nursing staff.
  • Leading quality improvement, clinical redesign, and innovation activities.
  • Collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure integrated care.
  • Maintaining compliance with professional standards, legislation, and quality frameworks.

We are looking for a skilled and passionate registered nurse who:

  • Holds a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, with postgraduate qualifications desirable.
  • Has advanced clinical knowledge and expertise in minor injury and illness nursing.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Has experience in clinical governance, quality improvement, and mentoring.
