**Consultant**
This role offers great potential for an individual looking for long-term career opportunities. We are looking for a motivated individual, willing to learn, be pro-active, work independently and as part of the team. The role is suitable for a law graduate with an interest in the resources sector. The role will combine work from all jurisdictions across Australia.
Responsibilities include:
- Tenement management of exploration and mining clients tenure portfolios;
- Advice in relation to the compliance of mining and exploration related operations with reference to relevant legislation, regulations and policies;
- Advice in relation to existing assets, as well as the acquisition, disposal or amalgamation of assets;
- Administrative non-legal responsibilities associated with, and ancillary to, the maintenance of companies assets portfolio;
- Environmental and planning law approvals, regulation and compliance for exploration and mining projects; and
- Diverse workload incorporating mining law, environmental law, planning law, Native Title, property law, contract law, land management processes, and other disciplines.
**About you**
- Strong projects management skills.
- A desire to develop and grow a professional career in the resources industry.
- An interest in and capacity to develop an understanding of the complexities of relevant legal fields including mining, environmental, planning, native title and property law in a variety of jurisdictions. While prior experience in any of these fields may be looked upon favorably, it is not essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential, as well as an ability to tailor correspondence to a variety of clientele ranging from small private entities to top-tier publicly listed companies.
- An eager, mature, self-disciplined and positive disposition, with an ability to work both as part of a team and independently with limited supervision
