
Engagement Coordinator

This Engagement Coordinator is responsible
for coordinating a program of engagement
activities in the Faculty of Business and Law.
Together with other members of the Faculty
Engagement Team, the position is responsible
for the promotion and delivery of engagement
events, managing the Faculty’s alumni
engagement strategy, and ongoing liaison with
key internal and external stakeholders.
This position will require work outside normal
working hours (ie evenings and occasional
weekends) to support events and meetings.
This position reports to the Senior Engagement
Coordinator for supervision, workload
management and for Performance Planning
and Review (PPR).
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Research and profile successful Faculty of
Business and Law alumni, gathering
information to inform award nominations,
news articles, accreditation reports and
social media.
- Work closely with the Faculty’s marketing
team and other key stakeholders within
and outside of the Faculty to create
impactful opportunities to engage with
alumni.
- Maintain effective working relationships
with alumni volunteers, external suppliers,
sponsors and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver Faculty of Business
and Law events in collaboration with the
Senior Engagement Coordinator and
Engagement and Events Officer, and
other stakeholders.
- Monitor income and expenditure for
Faculty of Business and Law events and
programs, ensuring they are run within
budget.
- In conjunction with relevant Faculty staff,
contribute to the identification of
opportunities for promoting and extending
engagement and the development and
maintenance of the Faculty’s Alumni
Engagement Strategy.
- Track relevant statistics about Alumni
engagement for reporting purposes.
- Compliance with health and safety
policies, procedures, hazard reporting and
safe work practices.
To ensure job flexibility the successful
appointee may be required to:
- perform any other duties as nominated by
the University consistent with the relevant
classification descriptors detailed in the
Enterprise Agreement. Staff undertaking
any new duties will receive training;
- participate in job rotation or multiskilling in
consultation with their supervisor;
- work across campuses.
**Type of appointment**
This appointment will be offered on an
ongoing, full-time basis.

Selection Criteria
1. Education, training and/or experience
equivalent to a degree with subsequent
relevant work experience.
2. Demonstrated well-developed
interpersonal skills, including the ability to
build relationships and communicate
effectively and professionally with a variety
of stakeholders verbally and in writing.
3. Demonstrated ability to coordinate and
successfully implement engagement
programs and events.
4. Demonstrated time management and
organisational skills with the ability to
prioritise tasks to meet competing
deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
and attention to detail.
5. Strong digital literacy skills including
experience with a relational database.
6. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in
a team and independently to deliver a high
standard of service to a range of
stakeholders.
**Remuneration and Benefits**
The classification for this position is Higher
- Education Worker Level 6 (HEW6) which has
- an annual remuneration range of $96,955 to
- $104,981 pa. Which is inclusive of an annual
- salary range of $81,928 to $88,710 pa, 17%
- superannuation, and leave loading.
