**The position**:
This role will work across the RES wind, solar and storage project development business, supporting the planning of sustainable energy projects and building social license in communities across Australia.

You will support our team of Project Managers throughout the development phase of our projects and be responsible for delivering on a range of community and stakeholder engagement tools, techniques and activities.

We are looking for someone who is able to develop and maintain meaningful relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, run effective consultation processes and contribute to a successful team along with achieving set goals in a fast-paced environment.

**Key accountabilities**:

- Working closely with Development Project Managers to provide delivery and distribution of community engagement support across a varied renewable project portfolio.
- Building and maintaining positive and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support effective delivery of renewable energy development projects.
- Working to identify community sponsorship opportunities and manage RES’ community benefit sharing programs in the development phase of projects.
- Managing logistics and attending key external stakeholder engagement activities such as community consultation sessions, surveys, local communications, sponsorships and local events.
- Administering and maintaining stakeholder databases to support project communication activities.
- Communicating directly with stakeholders and communities, answering requests for information.
- Acting as a role model to encourage the avoidance of risk taking behaviours across the business and provide the personal commitment to “don’t risk it’

Knowledge

**Skills**:
Knowledge of best practice community engagement processes and tools.

Knowledge of issues and drivers for renewable energy development in Australia.

Attention to detail and a self-starter to effectively manage and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Interpersonal, listening, networking and influencing skills that enable building and maintaining productive relationships.

Project management skills with ability to adapt with ease to rapidly changing work priorities and deliver results across several projects.

Concise verbal and written communication skills and clear reporting.

Ability to build rapport and trust with rural residents that may have diverse viewpoints and beliefs.

Experience

**Qualifications**:
Demonstrated experience in communications and/or stakeholder engagement and building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to plan, manage and coordinate project events.

Proven time-management skills with the ability to work under pressure with the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines.

Formal education Diploma in communications, journalism, business, public relations or relevant field.

Proficient Microsoft Office suite.

Proficient English language skills.

Ability and willingness to travel
