Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Affinity Education Group Full time $60,000 - $90,000 per year

Make Your Impact with Affinity

Are you passionate about stakeholder engagement, organisation and sharing stories that inspire?

We're looking for a proactive, positive and detail-loving Communication and Engagement Coordinator to join Affinity's Publicity and Engagement team. This newly created role welcomes your creativity while utilising your strong administration and stakeholder engagement skills, giving you the opportunity to balance project delivery with keeping our systems, schedules, and communications running seamlessly.

You'll make a meaningful contribution to the successful planning and implementation of communication and engagement campaigns including employee awards, surveys, workshops, events and business priority projects.

This is your chance to showcase the achievements, values, and potential of one of Australia's largest early education and care providers—all while working alongside people who go above and beyond every day to support children, families, and one another.

What you'll be doing

  • Bring the Affinity brand promise to life by helping everyone realise their potential.
  • Support planning and implementation of Affinity's annual communication and engagement projects and campaigns.
  • Support weekly communication schedule—calendar management, newsletter coordination, Zoom call organisation, and employee updates.
  • Administer project timelines and tracking systems to ensure campaigns and initiatives are delivered smoothly.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, reports, and presentations to support business priorities.
  • Provide administrative support across project lifecycles: research, planning, scheduling, concept notes, approvals, and reporting.
  • Identify, write, and publish positive stories across Affinity channels and prepare them for media outreach.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and manage content pipelines for news, updates, social media content and publicity opportunities.
  • Support key events, brand activations, and the annual Affinity Awards—including logistics, invitations, and operational coordination.
  • Manage communication tools and memberships, including Meltwater, to streamline monitoring and reporting.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in communications, public relations, engagement, or a related field.
  • A passion for both communication and administration excellence—you keep things running smoothly and on time.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with experience handling schedules, reporting, and project systems.
  • Great listener and communicator—able to capture a vision and turn it into deliverables.
  • Strategic outlook with the ability to see opportunities in every situation.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with experience drafting press releases, speeches, and campaign content.
