**Your future role**

Headquartered in Perth, WA, with manufacturing centers of excellence in Australia, Asia, North and South America, Austin has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Manager.

- Work closely with all functions of our Australian business unit including SHEQ, manufacturing operations, engineering, sales and finance.

**Key responsibilities**
- Experience in strategic procurement of steel plate/ Fabrication Parts / Casting and manufacturing consumables.
- Analysis of usage and consumption data to determine future ordering volumes. Maintain SRP ( Steel Requirement Planning ) up dates
- Management of stores inventory and use of min / max targets.
- Management of raw steel inventory and order forecasting based on consumption trends and business pipeline, ensuring no delays to production caused by material shortage.( Steel Requirement Planning System )
- Collaboration with all SCM of Austin Group / vendors supplier, new and existing, to build and maintain strong inter-company relationships.
- Integration with overseas counterparts to optimise inter-BU supply chain.
- Management of procurement officers in their daily tasks, providing guidance and support.
- Enforce a strict control on purchasing and ensure purchase orders are accurate, timely and in accordance with the ANG DOA.
- Monitor supplier quality, performance, costs and on time delivery.
- Audit and control all major steel supplies, including consignment stock.
- All price changes for regular materials are to be clearly communicated with the sales department.
- Work with Finance to ensure all purchasing tasks within are completed in time for monthly reporting, particularly Pronto data.
- Keep record of all process for internal and external auditing requirements.
- effectively negotiating and closing supply agreements,
- inventory management - heavy plate steel etc.
- identifying and implementing supply cost savings etc.
- Create and foster a customer service culture cross functionally so that all stakeholders and functions collaborate to be responsive, outcome focused and adding value across the group.
- high level of logistics experience - shipping

**MANDATORY **QUALIFICATIONS & LICENCES**:
**SKILLS **& EXPERTISE**:

- 5 + years experience in supply chain management/procurement preferably in manufacturing or mining industry
- Over 3 years of experience managing a team of individuals.
- Proven track record of contracts management and negotiation.
- Leadership skills - team management, dynamics and change management with an ability to coach and mentor individuals.
- Experienced with Microsoft Office software programs is essential;
- Must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and provide exemplary customer service.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Highly motivated self-starter
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate and assist others by sharing knowledge and experience.
