**The role**:

As a System Analyst within our Fuel Supply Chain team, you’ll support analysis, scoping and implementation of business initiatives, and define system solutions to enhance various functions within FSC.

**You’ll take us further by**:

- Working with the Projects team and wider Enterprise Systems, Integration and Data teams, as well as Solution Architects, to define and build system solutions and support project related activities.
- Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, including end-users, managers, and IT teams, to elicit and document functional and non-functional requirements. Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand business needs and translate them into system specifications.
- System Analysis and Evaluation: Conduct a thorough analysis of existing systems, processes, and workflows to identify gaps, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies. Evaluate system requirements, user needs, and business objectives to propose improvements and enhancements.
- Solution Design: Develop comprehensive system designs and specifications based on the gathered requirements. Create process flows, data models, and system architecture diagrams. Work closely with developers and other team members to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
- Assess requests and challenge constructively to derive underlying needs.
- System Testing and Quality Assurance: Design and execute test plans to verify the functionality, performance, and reliability of new or modified systems. Identify and resolve defects, bugs, and inconsistencies.
- Work with other Application and Infrastructure teams to ensure solutions are supported.

This is an initial 12-month Fixed Term Contract position based in our Alexandria, Sydney HQ, with flexible, hybrid work options available.

**About You**:

- Tertiary qualification in IT, business, or relevant discipline
- Minimum 5 years experience in IT System Analysis or Business Analysis
- Proficiency in requirements gathering and documentation techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into practical solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive nature, able to work autonomously & engage with a broad stakeholder community.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
- Experience in large and complex working environment.
- Familiarity with database systems and system architecture
