Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Retail Commercial Analyst to join our Commercial Operations team in Retail. This is a great development opportunity for someone who is highly analytical, and wants to progress their career further.
This role reports to the Commercial Operations Manager in Sydney who leads a team of four. We are looking for a team player, and someone who is continuous improvement focused to get the best possible outcomes for the business.
The primary focus for this role is analysing the labour budgets and forecasts, and revising targets for stores across Australia so we can continually improve on our cost of doing business. Knowledge and experience with workforce planning in a fast paced retail environment will be beneficial.
To be considered for the role you will need to be an advanced user of excel, comfortable analysing data sets and making recommendations to the business. Power BI, SAP BW and Dare are additional systems that will be utilised in this role and experience will be highly desired. Key stakeholders outside of the immediate team are our Operations Managers, Business Managers and Labour leads so relationship building skills will be essential, alongside the ability to work autonomously.
Location - we are based in Alexandria, car parking is available, and this is a Hybrid role with work from home options.
Qualifications
About you:
You will also have strong Financial analysis skills, including the ability to build analyse spreadsheets and data, and be capable of building a story to provide the appropriate insights and recommendations.
Key to your success in this role will be your ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders. You will have a can-do attitude, strong organisational skills ,sound project management and interpersonal skills along with the ability to initiate and successfully implement change.
- Degree qualified in Commerce, Financial Accounting or related business discipline
- Experience in a role that has required Financial analysis.
- High competency in accessing and using data extracts to support analysis
- You are someone who is well organised and structured in your work
- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to explain concepts to a wide range of customers and stakeholders
- Commercial acumen with the ability to solve both structured and unstructured problems
- Strong MS Office Skills (including Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI)
- Demonstrated team player
