**About the role**:
The Network Planning Analyst for Ampol’s Future Energy division is responsible for development of the national network plan specifically relating to future energy assets including Electric Vehicle (EV) chargers and associated Solar, Batteries and Hydrogen.
Reporting to the National Network Planning and Geospatial Analytics Manager with cross-functional dotted line to the Head of E-Mobility, this role supports alignment to the broader Ampol plan for Retail, Fuel and QSR and objectives to build a customer led network of EV chargers, solar and batteries and hydrogen offerings.
Primarily data driven and also leveraging expertise in an understanding of emerging e-Mobility trends, the electricity grid and property development, the role engages with a number of internal stakeholders within the e-Mobility, Generation, Hydrogen and Data Analytics teams within Ampol.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Identifying master data for inclusion in SAP RE tool to enable development of user interface
- Work with an external providers and Ampol Data Analytics to harness a full suite of site data and mapping functionality relevant to Future Energy products
- Work hand in hand with Future Energy team & Data Analytics Team to stay ahead of emerging customer behaviour and available data sources for Future Energy products
- Ensure the plan is integrated with the retail electricity grid plan managed by the Future Energy Generation Team
- Integration of model to enable effective ‘white spot’ and land acquisition target identification to source priority sites for business development of Future Energy products
- Integrate key external data and forecasts alongside the broader Ampol Network plan to provide dynamic and flexible tool for Future Energy
- Understand business’ reporting requirements and develop automation of reporting and dashboard functionality across individual sites/customers, mini markets, regions and nationally
- Ensure critical customer networks are mapped for highway and mini-markets to drive adoption of new future energy products
- Using geospatial tool, provide the regional national development teams with regular insights on NTI/NTA opportunities aligned to strategic growth opportunities
- Work with the Generation team to ensure the electricity grid accessibility is factored into the prioritisation of opportunities
- Provide necessary Network Planning support to critically analyse and evaluate opportunities and enable the preparation of sales forecasts
- Support in the preparation and completion of Post Investment Reviews on all E-mobility projects and implement learnings and insights into future customer / site assessments and investment projects
- Manage competitor portfolio insights and strategic site actions
**About you**:
To find success in this role you will have extensive experience in a broad range of property and site networks (both owned and leased), property development processes including a thorough knowledge of property development issues including retailing, financial, legal, engineering, planning, government and environmental issues would be highly desirable.
Supported by a tertiary qualification in Property, Property Valuation/Economics or Corporate Real Estate you will be experienced in the use and implementation geospatial technology and systems, valuations techniques, and financial modelling.
