As a
Senior Business Analyst – Finance Transformation
, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of strategic finance change initiatives to modernise and enhance the Finance function across AMPOL. Partnering with our diverse the business, you will gather and analyse requirements, develop solutions, and support the end-to-end transformation of our finance function.
You will partner closely with engaged senior stakeholders to ensure that change is effectively delivered, aligned with business goals, and embedded into operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business analysis activities across large-scale finance transformation programs.
- Partner with finance and cross-functional teams to gather, analyse, and validate business requirements.
- Map current ("as-is") processes and define future ("to-be") processes aligned with transformation objectives.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and support delivery through design, build, and implementation.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions to align priorities, capture needs, and drive consensus.
- Support change management, testing, training, and go-live readiness to ensure smooth adoption.
- Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, providing proactive recommendations and mitigations.
- Act as a bridge between finance users and technical teams to ensure successful delivery and ongoing optimisation.
Qualifications
Key Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Strong analytical and finance systems expertise, with experience in Onestream advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Power Automate, and familiarity with Qlik Sense, Looker, Power Apps, Alteryx, and Nintex.
- Experienced using collaboration and documentation tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Miro, Signavio, and Visio.
- Proven track record in process improvement and finance transformation initiatives, including ERP implementations.
- Skilled in strategy definition, process modelling, requirements gathering, and documentation to support finance transformation objectives.
- Strong understanding of financial processes, controls, and reporting requirements.
- Proven ability to engage, influence, and manage multiple stakeholders across varying levels of seniority.
- High level of data literacy with the ability to work effectively across finance and data teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, facilitation skills, and high attention to detail.
