The Office for Women is a growing team seeking two talented Executive Assistants with an interest in driving Australia’s gender equality priorities, by providing executive support to the Assistant Secretary.
Our work is fast-paced and high-profile. The team works across and brings together a broad suite of policy areas and portfolios, including social services, housing, health, education, employment, business and industry, Indigenous affairs, environment and climate, and migration. We work collaboratively with other agencies and departments to build capability across the Australian Public Service in gender impact analysis at all stages of policy development and evaluation.

**Contract length**
12 month, with 12 month extension
**About the branch**
The Women’s Economic Security Branch influences policies and programs supporting women’s workforce development, closing the gender pay gap and retirement income gap, and giving women more choice and flexibility around work and care.
The branch is one of three branches in the Office for Women division. It is relatively new having been established in mid-2021.
**About the role**
The APS 4 or APS 5 Executive Assistant will report directly to the Assistant Secretary and will be responsible for:
- Prepare meeting materials for the Assistant Secretary.
- Coordinate and ensure the timely action of branch PDMS items.
- Assist with the management of the Office for Women coordination inbox, including tracking and reporting of requests, prioritisation of complex and sensitive items and escalation of urgent matters.
- Coordinate branch Senate Estimate briefings.
- Manage travel and associated requirements for the Assistant Secretary and branch.
- Manage credit card reconciliation for the Assistant Secretary.
- Assist with organising branch planning day events.
- Develop appropriate systems, procedures and controls to enhance the accuracy, timeliness and presentation of workflow within the branch.
- Assist with coordinating branch/divisional administrative tasks (e.g. phone lists, leave register, property and accommodation).
- Prepare and/or quality assuring general correspondence in accordance with departmental guidelines.
- Ad hoc duties as required by the Agency.
