Looking for a sales manager to lead a team of 4 Area Sales Managers in Sydney, for a leading manufacturer of industrial automation components. Role based in Sydney.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Managing and growing a large customer base of OEMs and end-users across various industries
- Achieving sales targets and goals in the Sydney Metro region
- Optimizing sales growth in the assigned regional territory
- Leading and developing the field sales team in providing quality customer service and technical support
- Coaching and performance managing sales team members
- Building long-term relationships with customers and suppliers and expanding the business in the region
- Ensuring compliance with EH&S laws and local employment procedures.
**Qualifications**:
- 5-10 years of technical sales experience in manufacturing/industrial sector
- Proven leadership of external sales team (3+ years experience)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to build long-term relationships with customers and suppliers
- Engineering or relevant technical qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation
- Track record of meeting sales KPIs and a drive for success and self-development
- Ability to close large, complex sales deals
- Strong problem-solving skills and a solution-focused mindset
- Proficiency in CRM systems, MS Office programs, and sales reporting
- Valid New South Wales driver's license.
