Ethics and Independence Consultant

KPMG is seeking a skilled professional to join its Ethics and Independence team within Risk Management. As a key member of this team, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with the Firm's engagement acceptance policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough conflict of interest checks in our Risk Management System to identify potential risks and implement safeguards.
- Liaise with Divisional Risk Management Partners and team members to address commercial conflicts and ensure seamless collaboration.
- Work closely with engagement teams to assess parties involved and services provided, ensuring compliance with our policies.
- Collaborate with conflicts teams at other KPMG member firms globally to share best practices and expertise.
- Communicate effectively with engagement teams to advise on processes and procedures to be followed, as well as safeguards to be applied.
- Provide timely and efficient support to staff and partners regarding our Risk Management System.
- Liaise with Global Business Operations to ensure action items and requirements are met.
- Assist users in getting the most value from our Risk Management System and integrated systems.
- Develop and maintain user documentation and guidance to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Offer support and assistance to other Ethics and Independence team members as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Apply innovative techniques to improve processes and deliver high-quality service to the business.
- Remain resilient under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
- Develop processes or procedures that create efficiencies internally or for the business.
- Identify effective solutions and provide clear rationale to support decision-making.
- Build strong relationships with KPMG partners and staff, including consulting with other parts of Risk Management to share ideas and knowledge.
