Job Overview:

The Venue Assistant role supports the day-to-day operations of a café, ensuring menu items are consistently high-quality and prepared in a clean, hygienic environment.

  • Responsibilities include setting up the cafe for trade, preparing and serving daily menu items and any required specials, and ensuring preplanning for each day.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic cafe, meeting rooms, and surroundings, as well as operating the Council's POS system and adhering to cash handling guidelines.
Key Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in cafe, catering, theatre or events management is essential.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to maintain a positive image of the organization through effective public and customer relations.
  • RSA certification or willingness to obtain if successful.
