Job SummaryThe Black Venue Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Food and Beverage Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the cafe, ensuring that menu items are consistently high-quality and prepared in a clean, hygienic setting.Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-Service Preparation
  • Prepare and serve the daily menu and any required specials.
  • Ensure preplanning for each day, particularly for functions, special events, and activities.
  • Food Safety and Handling
  • Ensure all equipment and fixtures are kept clean and hygienic at all times.
  • Assist with theatre shows and events.
  • Customer Service
  • Provide quality service of hot and cold beverages.
  • Operation of Council's POS system, including cash registers, and adhere to Councils Cash handling guidelines.
  • Team Collaboration
  • Contribute to the positive image of council by maintaining effective public and customer relations, demonstrating personal integrity, honesty, and respect for customers at all times.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in cafe, catering, theatre or event management.
  • Demonstrated experience in food handling safe practices.
  • Hold RSA or willingness to obtain if successful.
