Cafe Operations Manager

The Black Venue Assistant plays a crucial role in managing daily cafe operations. This position involves collaborating with the Events and Catering Supervisor to enhance patron and client experiences at The Bryan Brown Theatre and function rooms.
- Setup and prepare the cafe for trade, ensuring a smooth transition into service.
- Prepare and serve daily menu items and specials, meeting the high standards of quality and presentation.
- Ensure preplanning for functions, events, and activities, guaranteeing seamless execution and delivery.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic environment in the cafe, meeting rooms, and surrounds, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist with theatre shows and events, providing exceptional support and expertise.
- Provide quality service of hot and cold beverages, exceeding customer expectations and delivering memorable experiences.
- Operate Council's POS system and adhere to cash handling guidelines, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive council image through effective public and customer relations, fostering a culture of excellence and professionalism.
This role requires demonstrated experience in cafe, catering, theatre, or serving for functions, along with experience in food handling safe practices, providing exceptional customer service, and holding RSA or being willing to obtain it if successful.
