Job Description

Deliver exceptional guest experiences in our cafes and attractions.

As a Cafe Attendant, you will be responsible for operating our cafes and experiences across Darling Harbour attractions. Your duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide Excellent customer service to all guests in commercial units.
  • Ensure correct stock and food handling procedures are always followed.
  • Ensure all commercial deliveries are checked appropriately on arrival.
  • Attain a high level of product knowledge in each of the attraction units.
  • Keep informed and adherence to Food Safety policies.
  • Inform Supervisors when stock and food lines are low.
  • Assist with stocktake when required.

You will also be responsible for providing guests a fun and interactive experience at our newest experience, Immersive GameBox.

Qualifications & Experience

To shine in this role, you will ideally have strong customer service skills and experience in retail and/or hospitality. A passion for working in the tourism/attraction industry is essential.

You will be able to work consistent weekends with some weekday availability (especially Thursdays and Fridays). You will also have full availability over NSW school holiday periods. You will be able to work shifts of various times, earliest being 6am and latest 10pm.

  • Proven ability to demonstrate exceptional Customer Service Experience.
  • Previous experience with handling cash, processing transactions and strong numeracy skills.
  • Intermediate PC Skills.
  • Food safety awareness.
  • Ability to act as Area Warden (where applicable).
  • An energetic and flexible approach.
  • Proven ability to problem solve and use initiative.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Customer complaint resolution or escalation.
  • Appreciation and attention to H&S policy and procedures.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Strong work ethic and demonstrated ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Can work autonomously, but most importantly in a team environment.
