Job Description

This position requires a strategic thinker who can relate conformity assessment to stakeholder needs, support regulatory initiatives, engage with industry, regulators, and scheme owners, and participate in technical discussions.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to collaborate with internal stakeholders, manage knowledge transfer and sector expertise, coach and mentor assessors and technical specialists, and oversee scheme committees and stakeholder activities.

This role involves conducting onsite and remote assessments, supporting Assessors and Technical experts, and identifying talent for the assessment pool.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Relate conformity assessment to stakeholder needs.
  • Regulatory Support: Support regulatory initiatives.
  • Industry Collaboration: Engage with industry, regulators, and scheme owners.
  • Technical Participation: Participate in technical discussions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge Management: Manage knowledge transfer and sector expertise.
  • Assessor Development: Coach and mentor assessors and technical specialists.
  • Scheme Oversight: Oversee scheme committees and stakeholder activities.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Experienced auditor/Assessor (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Australian/New Zealand regulatory environment.
  • Familiarity with ISO 22000 and other food standards.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., food technology, agricultural science).
  • Experience in client relationship management.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia and New Zealand.
