About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Centre Technical Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-availability data centre solutions.

Job Summary:

  • Design, implement, and maintain high-availability data centre solutions
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve complex technical issues

Key Responsibilities:

Data Centre Operations

You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centres, including:

  • Monitoring and troubleshooting server hardware and software
  • Executing routine maintenance tasks, such as patching and firmware updates
  • Collaborating with network and storage teams to ensure seamless data centre operations
Technical Leadership

As a senior technical specialist, you will provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, including:

  • Developing and delivering training programs to improve technical skills
  • Mentoring junior engineers to help them develop their technical expertise
  • Collaborating with other senior technical specialists to identify best practices and share knowledge
Candidate Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in data centre operations, with experience working in a high-availability environment
  • Excellent technical skills, including server hardware and software troubleshooting and repair
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
