We are seeking an experienced Data Centre Operations Manager to join our team at Westpac, a market leader in the financial services industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to take on a challenging role that requires excellent leadership and technical skills.

About the Role

This is a key position responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centre facilities, including managing site operations, monitoring and operating building systems, and supervising contractors.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data centre operations, electrical or HVAC trade qualifications, and excellent fault-finding ability. They will also possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing site operations to ensure no unplanned downtime of critical building services
  • Monitoring and operating all building systems and plant
  • Supervising contractors on site, including inductions, permit issuing, SWMS reviews, and ensuring compliance with qualifications, WHS, environmental, and statutory obligations
