Data Centre Technician

About the Role:
As a Data Centre Technician at Oracle, you will be the technical liaison between technology teams and the Data Centre Environment. Your primary responsibility will be to troubleshoot and solve infrastructure issues within a Data Centre environment, working closely with a senior Technician. You will also be responsible for installing, configuring, and testing data centre equipment, performing routine maintenance such as replacing failed components and updating firmware, and understanding the support tools used to maintain data centre activities and assisting with maintaining an accurate parts inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Execute basic troubleshooting and triage incoming incidents in support of DC operations.
- Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server hardware and software.
- Communicate confidently and clearly with all stakeholders.
- Maintain strong adherence to processes and contribute to process improvements.
- Understand internal customer problems and deliver timely technical solutions.
- Work on a rotating shift basis, including on-call.
- Background in Linux and knowledge of Data Centre Ecosystem (cooling, electrical, networking, and structured cabling).
