The Role


We are seeking an experienced Chef with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing menu preparation, budgeting, and inventory management. Additionally, they will oversee the maintenance of kitchen equipment, ensure adherence to health and safety standards, and train junior staff members.


Key Responsibilities



  • Involvement in menu planning and preparation, including budgeting and inventory management.
  • Maintenance of kitchen equipment, including temperature control and cleaning.
  • Ensuring adherence to health and safety standards in food preparation areas.
  • Training and supervising junior staff members.
  • Operating large-volume cooking equipment, such as grills and deep-fat fryers.
  • Checking prepared food for quality and quantity.
  • Cleaning, stocking, and restocking workstations.
  • Ensuring food safety standards are met at all times.
  • Monitoring the freshness of food and ingredients.
  • Developing recipes and determining presentation.

Requirements



  • Minimum Trade-level Qualification in Commercial Cookery.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.

Salary
