Proposal Engineer Role Overview

Job Description

This position is responsible for developing and managing proposals for various industrial automation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in proposal engineering, technical knowledge of automation technologies, and excellent communication skills.

The Senior Proposal Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement high-quality proposals that meet customer needs. This includes leading the development of detailed, customised proposals for Industrial Automation, Networks, and cybersecurity Services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development of comprehensive proposals that align with customer specifications and industry best practices.
  • Collaborating with Sales, Solution Consultants, Engineering, Field Services, Operations, Commercial & Negotiation (C&N), Finance, and Credit Management teams.
  • Designing solutions that are tailored to client needs and ensure task completion.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Conducting risk assessments and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Ensuring accuracy in all technical content and collaborating with quality assurance to meet internal standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in proposal/project engineering within industrial automation.
  • Technical knowledge of automation technologies (PLCs, DCS, drives).
  • Understanding of cost structures, pricing strategies, and margin analysis.
