ABOUT THE ROLE:

We're looking for a sharp and versatile Proposal Writer who lives and breathes words. This key role is responsible for crafting high-quality, compelling, and visually polished bid submissions that support Wilson Security's growth strategy. If you have a passion for writing, editing, and turning complex ideas into persuasive, client-focused content, this could be the perfect fit.

The Proposal Writer leads the end-to-end development of written documentation, working closely with teams across the business to produce standout proposals. In addition to coordinating the bid process, you'll bring strong copywriting skills to create engaging client communications, capability statements, and supporting materials that align with our brand, tone, and commercial objectives.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Tender Production and Support

• Manage the entire bid/tender process from inception to completion, ensuring smooth and timely execution
• Write and edit clear, concise, and persuasive content for tenders, client letters, presentations, fact sheets, and capability statements
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and a high standard of language, tone, formatting, and layout across all submission materials
• Maintain strict adherence to deadlines and internal bid processes
• Collaborate with stakeholders across states and business units to gather insights, case studies, data, and technical input
• Translate technical and operational information into compelling, client-focused narratives aligned to the value proposition
• Produce content tailored to client needs, addressing specifications and telling a persuasive story
• Create visually polished documents using templates and brand guidelines
• Develop and manage bid project plans, including meetings, briefings, site visits, and registrations
• Contribute innovative ideas to enhance bid strategy and submission quality
• Coordinate and maintain the content library, templates, archives, and bid documentation
• Support the evolution of knowledge resources and reusable content

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills

• Proven experience developing and delivering tender submissions or business proposals

• Strong copywriting ability to craft persuasive and professional content

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines

• High attention to detail with excellent formatting and document presentation skills

• Strong commercial awareness and business acumen

• Confident working with diverse stakeholders and internal subject matter experts

• Proactive mindset with the ability to recommend solutions and improvements

• Strong organisational and time management abilities

• PowerPoint skills to produce high-impact client-ready presentations (highly regarded)

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred but not essential
