About the Position

This role involves overseeing a diverse portfolio of complex, sensitive, high-risk Financial Lines claims from start to finish, delivering exceptional claims service in line with policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities
  • Proactively manage Financial Lines claims, providing expert technical advice on policy coverage, liability, quantum, strategy and reserving.
  • Appoint and oversee external service providers, including External Legal Panel.
  • Maintain claim reserves in a timely manner, adhering to reserving guidelines and practices.
  • Cultivate own technical industry knowledge, contributing to the team's market profile through superior claims service.
Necessary Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience within Financial Lines / Professional Indemnity Claims.
  • Prior experience mentoring claims staff in technical claims roles.
  • Tertiary qualifications in law, business or insurance (Diploma in Financial Services General Insurance) are highly regarded.
