Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Specialist to join our team. As a Claims Specialist, you will partner with various stakeholders to navigate complex claims environments and drive transformative change.

Your goal will be to optimise outcomes, control costs, mitigate risk, and deliver value across the entire claims lifecycle.

About the Role
  • You will support a variety of exciting engagements as a claims specialist.
  • You will apply legislative frameworks and clinical guidelines to assess liability, treatment appropriateness, and return to work strategies.
  • You will perform targeted claim reviews to drive improved injured worker and claim outcomes.
  • You will facilitate case conferences with treating providers to review treatment progress and discuss alignment with clinical frameworks.
  • You will identify claims management gaps, delays, or missed opportunities and provide actionable insights.
  • You will deliver high levels of customer service within relevant service charters.
  • You will collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure alignment on review findings and recommendations.
  • You will utilise various claims management systems, maintaining accurate documentation and data entry.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • You must have proven expertise in personal injury claims management.
  • You must have in-depth knowledge of workers compensation and/or motor accident legislation and regulatory expectations.
  • You must demonstrate ability to critically assess claims and identify opportunities for improved outcomes.
  • You must be familiar with conducting targeted claim reviews.
  • You must have strong attention to detail and written communication skills, producing clear and accurate claims notes and summaries.
  • You must be able to work independently in high-volume, deadline-driven environments.
  • You must have exceptional customer service abilities, focusing on improving customer experiences.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in related disciplines is desirable but not required.
