About Us: We are a renowned restaurant in Melbourne seeking experienced Japanese Cuisine Chefs and Cooks to join our team.

Job Summary: We are looking for skilled professionals to lead our kitchen team in preparing and cooking Japanese cuisine. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a busy restaurant environment and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Menu Planning: Develop and implement menu plans that showcase the diversity of Japanese cuisine.
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook a variety of Japanese dishes, including soups, salads, and hot entrees.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and train new kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation: Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation practices in the kitchen.
  • Supply Management: Manage kitchen supplies and inventory to ensure efficient use of resources.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Relevant AQF qualification in Commercial Cookery and Hospitality.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to work effectively with the kitchen team and senior management.
  • Teamwork: Positive working attitude and good team player skills.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience in a busy restaurant environment.
