About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Officer to join our team at the University of South Australia. As a key member of our Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor: Research and Enterprise, you will play a critical role in delivering strategic initiatives and providing high-level support to the Deputy Vice Chancellor: Research and Enterprise (DVC:RE) Office and Portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare submissions, presentations, briefings, discussion papers, and reports on behalf of the DVC:RE Office and Portfolio in response to internal and external requests.
  • Provide high-level support in delivering strategic initiatives by developing and documenting evidence-based implementable plans.
  • Develop and maintain strong networks and working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with others to achieve outcomes and provide high-level written communication skills.
About You

We are looking for a skilled communicator with the ability to develop and maintain strong networks and working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. You will have highly developed negotiation skills and a proven ability to collaborate with others to achieve outcomes. Your written communication skills are advanced, and you will have experience in writing and reviewing reports, briefings, and discussion papers.

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in a field relevant to the operations of the Portfolio and experience, or demonstrated equivalent experience, knowledge, and skills.
  • Demonstrated high-level written communication skills and the ability to write complex reports, business cases, and other documents for internal and external audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience in using data as a basis for preparing presentations, written reports, and recommendations for senior staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake complex projects with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Highly developed negotiation skills and a proven ability to collaborate with others to achieve outcomes.
