About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Officer to join our team at the University of South Australia. As a key member of our Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor: Research and Enterprise, you will play a critical role in providing high-level project and operational functions to support the delivery of strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare submissions, presentations, briefings, discussion papers, and reports on behalf of the Deputy Vice Chancellor: Research and Enterprise Office and Portfolio.
  • Provide high-level support in delivering strategic initiatives by developing and documenting evidence-based implementable plans.
  • Develop and maintain strong networks and working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with others to achieve outcomes and provide high-level written communication skills.

About You

We are looking for a skilled communicator with highly developed negotiation skills and a proven ability to collaborate with others to achieve outcomes. You will have experience in writing and reviewing reports, briefings, and discussion papers, and be able to develop and maintain strong networks and working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Essential Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a field relevant to the operations of the Portfolio and experience, or demonstrated equivalent experience, knowledge, and skills.
  • Demonstrated high-level written communication skills, and demonstrated ability to write complex reports, business cases, and other documents both for internal and external audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience in using data as a basis for preparing presentations, written reports, and recommendations for senior staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake complex projects with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Highly developed negotiation skills, and a proven ability to collaborate with others to achieve outcomes.
