About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Officer to join our team at the University of South Australia. As a key member of our Integration Management Office, you will play a critical role in leading the planning and delivery of projects in support of our Project Managers and Project Leads.

As a Senior Project Officer, you will be responsible for collaborating with cross-domains and cross-functional teams at both Universities and within the IMO, supporting project activity, and ensuring projects are delivered within scope, quality, schedule, and budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and define the scope of project activity, ensuring alignment with project management methodologies and timelines.
  • Support project progress, monitoring milestones and deliverables, and providing high-quality reports, memorandums, and presentations.
  • Undertake reviews of deliverables to ensure they meet scope, time, and budget requirements.
  • Provide support for working groups, committees, and meetings with key stakeholders, including preparing and distributing meeting agendas and papers.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrated project management skills, with a proven record of successfully coordinating large-scale and complex projects.
  • Ability to analyze information, reconcile conflicts, and synthesize broad information at a strategic and detailed level.
  • Experience in applying effective problem-solving skills, being innovative and creative in generating solutions, and facilitating workshops and discussions.
  • Highly developed relationship management skills, including interacting, influencing, and negotiating with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with high attention to detail both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to use initiative, manage competing demands, and undertake complex projects with a high degree of autonomy.
