About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Officer to join our team at the University of South Australia. As a key member of our Integration Management Office, you will play a critical role in supporting the establishment of the new Adelaide University.

As a Senior Project Officer, you will be responsible for providing high-level project support and operational functions related to the Office of the Vice Chancellor and Strategic Programs. This will involve working closely with senior leaders, project managers, and subject matter experts to deliver strategic initiatives and drive implementation towards a target launch date of 1 January 2026.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare submissions, presentations, briefings, discussion papers, and reports to support the implementation of strategic priorities and initiatives.
  • Provide high-level support in the delivery of strategic initiatives by developing and documenting evidence-based implementable plans.
  • Generate succinct and clear strategic analyses of complex information and data sets related to all aspects of the program.
  • Oversee and organize all aspects of events, workshops, and seminars.
  • Draft internal and external communication to support the implementation of strategic priorities and initiatives.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrated high-level written communication skills and ability to write complex reports, business cases, and other documents for internal and external audiences.
  • Highly developed critical thinking, conceptual, and analytic skills, with experience in undertaking quantitative and qualitative research and analysis.
  • Experience in using data as a basis for preparing presentations, written reports, and recommendations for senior staff.
  • Highly developed negotiation skills and proven ability to collaborate with others.
  • Proven ability to undertake complex projects with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Demonstrated high level of tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
