Business Development Manager

Officeworks is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our VIC team, working with our South-east customer community or business customers within Melbourne's western suburbs. This exciting opportunity involves engaging with clients, building relationships, and identifying new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS: Develop connections with multiple levels of stakeholders, including C-suite level leaders, and present tailored customer solutions that enhance their businesses and build mutual beneficial partnerships.
- NEW BUSINESS ACQUISITION: Seek new business account opportunities and leads within a portfolio of medium to large customers in your designated community.
- GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES: Identify growth opportunities and execute those opportunities to drive business expansion.
- ACCOUNT PLANNING: Set account plans within individual portfolios through high-level account planning, base coverage, and insightful customer conversations.
- TEAM COLLABORATION: Work with the wider team of Business Specialists, building connections through store networks, to generate leads and build your personal brand within the community of customers.
You are self-motivated, client-centric, thrive on building new client relationships, and have a hunger for achieving targets/budgets and finding the best solutions for our customers. To be successful in this role, you will have:
- At least 2 years of demonstrated in-field Sales and/or Business Development experience in a B2B environment with infield experience.
- The ability to build long-term, profitable, and sustainable relationships with business customers.
- A strong understanding of identifying and meeting customer needs while maximising customer satisfaction.
- In-field sales experience, identifying and acquiring new business opportunities, and providing exceptional customer experiences.
- Strong commercial acumen, with an analytical and inquisitive mind, working with multiple levels of stakeholders, including C-suite level leaders.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Experience using Salesforce.

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits, including health insurance, superannuation, and paid leave.
