We are seeking an experienced Insurance Pricing Expert to join our team in Sydney.

About the Role

This is a permanent role that involves providing technical support on model methodologies and their implementation. You will actively collaborate across the Division and Function, in particular with Portfolio and Actuarial areas to support the achievement of business objectives.

The role is based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane CBD location, and offers a hybrid office/work from home arrangement.

About the Team

You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for developing and integrating end-to-end pricing capability and insights across products. The team covers various products including Professional Indemnity, Corporate Liability, Surety, Corporate Property, Fleet Motor, Construction and Engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop pricing recommendations and proposals designed to closely align pricing strategy to budget and accurately implement timely price changes within the business/function.
  • Guide pricing and senior pricing analysts for all pricing tasks.
  • Analysis of data and reports to identify trends to continuously drive innovation & improvement in business results.
  • Translate P&L items into Pricing assumptions.
  • Provide technical support on model methodologies and their implementation.
What You'll Bring
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience, preferably in the general insurance industry working closely with end to end solutions.
  • Insurance Pricing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Commercial insurance Products and Pricing of key business drivers.
  • Understanding of Actuarial IBNR/IBNER models.
  • Ability to develop solutions and courses of action by using an information base to identify key issues, compare with other data and determine cause-effect relationships.
  • Knowledge of, and experience in, using SAS, Excel, R and other programming skillsets.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including flexible work arrangements, career development opportunities, and a supportive work environment.
