Cybersecurity Expert and Risk Management Lead, Australia

We are seeking a highly experienced Cybersecurity Expert and Risk Management Lead to join our team in Australia. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of information security, risk management, and compliance.
Job Description SummaryThis role will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of Pay Pal's information security strategy in Australia, ensuring compliance with local and regional regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing IT security, risk management, or similar functions, with a minimum of 12-15 years of experience.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage the information security strategy for Pay Pal Australia, ensuring compliance with applicable local and regional regulatory requirements
- Organize and lead the cyber risk strategy and program for Pay Pal Australia, working closely with regional and global information security teams
- Represent functional leadership in Australia for internal and external initiatives, serving as the primary voice of the Australian business at regional and global forums
- Support Pay Pal's senior management in Australia on Technology, Data, and Information Security areas, as per Financial Accountability Regime (FAR) requirements
- Manage compliance with applicable regulatory requirements in Australia, including CPS 234 and 230 for internal and external stakeholder assurance
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Computer Science, Technology Management, or other analytical degree; Master's Degree or Ph.D. preferred
- A minimum of 12-15 years' experience in an IT security, risk management, or similar function
- At least 5 years of experience in executive-level communication and leading remote teams
- Excellent written and verbal skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate information security-related concepts to technical and non-technical audiences

Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this role is around $250,000 - $300,000 per annum, depending on experience.
