The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Civil Operations Lead to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. As a key member of our Civil Assets Maintenance section, you will lead a small team responsible for undertaking roads and drainage works in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct a team of Civil Operations Asset Maintenance staff
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively
  • Oversee daily operations, including plant and equipment maintenance, and resource allocation
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations

Requirements

  • Good knowledge and experience in civil operations and asset maintenance functions
  • Ability to work within a team environment and lead others
  • Previous experience in supervising and training staff
  • Minimum of 12 months experience in operating plant and equipment
  • Experience in recording and reporting completed work, materials, and resources used daily
  • Good skills in working with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Able and willing to learn to use mobility in daily planning and execution of tasks
  • Current MR Driver's licence and appropriate Work Cover certificates and other mandatory licences
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service
  • Relevant certificate or working towards a certificate
  • Availability to work flexible hours and overtime as required

Benefits

  • $64,580.41 per annum (pro rata) based on a 38-hour week, plus superannuation and other benefits
  • Rostered Day Off (RDO) every fortnight
