Project Director

This is a pivotal position within the infrastructure development team at Humes, offering a unique opportunity to lead and manage production projects from order stage through to final delivery and site follow-up.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive Project Performance: Manage project teams to achieve tendered objectives and targets, ensuring continued business with head contractors in the construction and infrastructure industries.
- Timely Delivery: Ensure the timely delivery of quality products and services that meet customer expectations.
- Risk Management: Review and assess contracts, specifications, and drawings to limit Humes' exposure to potential risks and ensure compliance with obligations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in tendering and quoting, and contribute to the development of new and innovative ways to improve the bottom line of the business.
We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager with a strong background in civil engineering principles, quantity surveying, estimating, and tendering. The ideal candidate will have extensive project management experience, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to managing time, cost, quality, and OH&S issues.
Requirements- Civil Engineering Principles: Qualifications or a sound understanding of civil engineering principles.
- Precast, Concrete, and Related Industries: Experience in Precast, Concrete, and/or related industries (Construction, Steel, Heavy Manufacturing).
- Quantity Surveying, Estimating, and Tendering: Knowledge of Quantity Surveying, Estimating, and Tendering.
- Strong Interpersonal/Communication Skills: Ability to read drawings, understand the cost drivers of the business, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Commercial Awareness: In-depth knowledge of contractual matters and commercial awareness.
- Microsoft Office and SAP: Sound skills in Microsoft Office and SAP.
