Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Mechanic to join our team and contribute to our transport solutions. With over 30 years in the industry, our workshop is a trusted source for fleet maintenance.

The successful candidate will maintain our fleet of trucks and trailers to a high standard through scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance or repairs.

  • Perform regular servicing and repairs of fleet equipment in accordance with maintenance schedules and manuals.
  • Maintain high Safety Standards within the workshop areas.
  • Report all maintenance and workshop-related procedures to the Workshop Supervisor/Workshop Manager.
  • Accurately complete servicing and repair paperwork.
  • Comply with all company policies and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Manage the maintenance of regional fleet vehicles.
  2. Perform callouts for asset breakdowns and interstate fleet maintenance.
  3. Participate in Pre-Start Meetings, Toolbox meetings, and risk assessments.
  4. Develop positive relationships with team and customers.
  5. Take reasonable care and personal responsibility for your own health and safety.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Heavy automotive trade certificate
  • Qualified Mechanic and sound mechanical knowledge
  • Experience in servicing and preventative maintenance
  • Driver's License
  • HR/HC License and fuel maintenance knowledge (desirable)
  • Previous industry related experience in transport and/or mining industry (desirable)
