As a Property Manager, you will play a key role in representing the department's property and protective security interests. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the management of upkeep for state offices in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. This will involve working closely with the property service provider to ensure that all necessary tasks are completed on time and within budget.

In addition to managing upkeep, you will also be responsible for assisting with the management of national services provided for fleet management, stationery, or mail and freight services. This may include coordinating with vendors, tracking expenses, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent administrative skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines. You should also be highly organized and able to communicate effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders. Additionally, you must have a strong understanding of property management principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the management of upkeep for state offices
  • Assist with the management of national services provided for fleet management, stationery, or mail and freight services
  • Manage administrative tasks for the branch, including car park management and facilities administration activities
  • Provide administrative support to the protective security team to ensure adherence to departmental security policies and procedures
  • Support local capital projects and accommodation audits
  • Act as the region's business continuity and emergency management coordinator

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in property management or related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in property management or related field
  • Excellent administrative skills, including ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines
  • Highly organized and able to communicate effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of property management principles and practices
