Industrial Painter Blaster

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter Blaster to join our team at our Bunbury Workshop. As an Industrial Painter Blaster, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the durability and protection of our mining technologies.

  • Perform surface preparation on steel or hard composition objects, ensuring the removal of all contamination and achieving the specified finish.
  • Apply paint or similar coatings using spraying or brushing techniques.
  • Review painting specifications and comply with the required standards.
  • Blast to profile tolerances and specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of painting thickness, including DFTs, paint reports, salt testing, etc., as necessary.
  • Manage inventory of materials, including paints and consumables, and notify the supervisor of any shortages.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of machines and equipment.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to apprentices and trades assistants.

Key Requirements:

  • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate in Industrial Painting or Blasting OR Relative experience.
  • Valid Driver's Licence.
  • Work at Heights & Confined Space Tickets.
  • Dogging/Rigging certification (preferred but not essential).
  • Forklift Ticket (preferred but not essential).
  • Physical fitness for manual labour and ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening.
  • Strong commitment to safety and reliable work ethic.
