Job Title:

Industrial Painter


Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced painter to perform surface preparation on steel or hard composition objects.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform surface preparation ensuring removal of all contamination and achieving specified finish
  • Apply paint using spraying or brushing techniques
  • Review painting specifications and comply with required standards
  • Blast to profile tolerances and specifications
  • Take precise measurements when measuring blast profile
  • Maintain accurate records of painting thickness including DFTs, paint reports, salt testing etc., as necessary
  • Manage inventory of materials including paints and consumables and notify supervisor of any shortages
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of machines and equipment

Requirements:
  • Local residency in the Southwest region
  • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate in Industrial Painting OR Relative experience
  • Valid Driver's Licence
  • Work at Heights & Confined Space Tickets
  • Dogging/Rigging certification (preferred but not essential)
  • Forklift Ticket (preferred but not essential)
  • Physical fitness for manual labour and ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening
  • Strong commitment to safety and reliable work ethic
