Bunbury Workshop is seeking an experienced Industrial Painter Blaster to join our team on a Casual basis. As an Industrial Painter Blaster, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the durability and protection of our mining technologies.

Job Description:

  • ">
  • Perform surface preparation on steel or hard composition objects, ensuring the removal of all contamination and achieving the specified finish.">
  • Apply paint or similar coatings using spraying or brushing techniques.">
  • Review painting specifications and comply with the required standards.">
  • Blast to profile tolerances and specifications.">
  • Take precise measurements when measuring blast profile.">
  • Maintain accurate records of painting thickness, including DFTs, paint reports, salt testing, etc., as necessary.">
  • Manage inventory of materials, including paints and consumables, and notify the supervisor of any shortages.">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ">
  • Local residency in the Southwest region.">
  • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate in Industrial Painting or Blasting OR Relative experience.">
  • Valid Driver's Licence.">
  • Work at Heights & Confined Space Tickets.">
  • Dogging/Rigging certification (preferred but not essential).">
  • Forklift Ticket (preferred but not essential).">
  • Physical fitness for manual labour and ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening.">
  • Strong commitment to safety and reliable work ethic.">
