About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter Blaster to join our team at our Bunbury Workshop.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the durability and protection of our mining technologies by utilizing their excellent painting and blasting skills.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Industrial Painter Blaster to showcase their technical expertise and provide high-quality services in industrial surface preparation and coating.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Perform surface preparation on steel or hard composition objects, ensuring removal of all contamination and achieving specified finish.
- Apply paint or similar coatings using spraying or brushing techniques.
- Review painting specifications and comply with required standards.
- Blast to profile tolerances and specifications.
- Take precise measurements when measuring blast profile.
- Maintain accurate records of painting thickness, including DFTs, paint reports, salt testing, etc., as necessary.
- Manage inventory of materials, including paints and consumables, and notify supervisor of any shortages.
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of machines and equipment.
- Provide guidance and assistance to apprentices and trades assistants.
Requirements:
- Local residency in the Southwest region.
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate in Industrial Painting or Blasting OR Relative experience.
- Valid Driver's Licence.
- Work at Heights & Confined Space Tickets.
- Dogging/Rigging certification (preferred but not essential).
- Forklift Ticket (preferred but not essential).
- Physical fitness for manual labour and ability to pass drug and alcohol screening.
- Strong commitment to safety and reliable work ethic.
