The Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District seeks an experienced Senior Physiotherapist to join the Care of Older People in Surgery (COPS) service.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide specialist physiotherapy assessment, treatment and discharge planning for older patients in the surgical pathway, emphasizing geriatric and frailty considerations.
- Collaborate with geriatricians and surgical teams to deliver holistic patient care and improve postoperative outcomes.
- Supervise and educate junior staff and students; contribute to clinical teaching and supervision across teams.
- Contribute to service planning, implementation, and evaluation of physiotherapy services for older people in surgery.
- Develop and implement clinical physiotherapy policies and procedures as required.
- Degree in Physiotherapy and current National Physiotherapy Registration with AHPRA.
- Significant postgraduate experience in physiotherapy, with substantial experience in Surgical & Aged Care physiotherapy.
- Demonstrated teaching and supervision experience.
- Experience in developing clinical physiotherapy policies and procedures.
