Job Overview

The position of Urologist at our hospital offers an exceptional opportunity to provide high-quality evidence-based clinical care to patients with urological needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct care to adult and paediatric patients requiring specialist clinical management in urology.
  • Ensure the provision of high-quality clinical care aligns with current best practices and guidelines.
  • Coordinate referrals to other specialists and subspecialties where necessary.
  • Supervise the clinical care provided by specialist registrars and junior medical staff.
  • Provide oncall services to ensure 24/7 patient care.

Our hospital provides a state-of-the-art facility, comprehensive diagnostic services, and strong network support. We offer five operating theatres, a modern Cancer Centre, and extensive community and outpatient services.

Required Qualifications:
  • A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (Urology), or equivalent overseas trained specialist pathways.
  • Demonstrated expertise in urology through recent and comprehensive experience.
  • Maintenance of medical professional development and ability to assist staff, including trainees, in acquiring knowledge.
  • Skillful communication, including oral and written skills, for effective interaction with patients, students, healthcare professionals, and the public.
  • Ability to collaborate within an interdisciplinary framework and work with stakeholders in various settings.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing health systems, leadership, and safety improvement activities.
  • Continued professional development, peer review, and other forms of clinical governance.
  • Advocacy for improving individual and societal health.
