Learning and Development Specialist

This role supports the delivery of learning and development initiatives to enhance staff capabilities.

  • Collaborate with teams to develop and implement strategies for ongoing learning and professional development.
  • Provide administrative support to capture training attendance, track records, and maintain accurate data.
  • Contribute to planning and execution of staff learning and development programs.
  • Ensure efficient management of administrative processes related to learning and development, maintaining consistent record-keeping practices.
  • Assist with scheduling learning enrolments, ensuring value is achieved.
  • Monitor and report on learning and development budgets and programs, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, creating value for the community.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possess a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrate solid contemporary experience in a similar role with ongoing professional development.
  • Experienced in database management.
  • Able to identify learning opportunities and needs within an organisation.
  • Skilled in developing methods to address learning opportunities and needs.
  • Familiarity with the Australian Qualifications Framework.
  • Understanding of local government operations and systems.
  • Excellent written and reporting skills to provide information and recommendations to various audiences, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic records management.
