The Learning and Development Officer plays a significant part in identifying targeted solutions to meet skills or knowledge gaps and build essential capabilities within the workplace.
Key responsibilities include delivering learning and development initiatives, providing administrative support for training attendance and record keeping, and assisting in planning and implementing staff learning and development strategies.

Other key duties include maintaining and ensuring accurate record keeping processes related to learning and development, scheduling of learning enrolments, and monitoring and reporting on budgets and programs. Additionally, providing quality customer service and creating value for the community are important aspects of this role.

Essential qualifications include Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or similar, or demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role with ongoing professional development.
A strong understanding of database management principles is also crucial, as well as experience in identifying learning opportunities and needs and demonstrating ability to identify methods to address these opportunities and needs. Familiarity with the Australian Qualifications Framework and local government operations and systems is highly desirable. Furthermore, possessing excellent written and reporting skills, experience using Microsoft Office and electronic records management, will be an asset.

Hybrid and flexible working conditions are available, including 2 days from home and 3 days onsite. Progression up to $89,160.44 per annum may be possible upon assessment of skills and performance.
