The Learning and Development Officer plays a pivotal role in supporting the learning and development function.
It is responsible for a variety of duties including working closely with stakeholders to identify targeted solutions to meet skills or knowledge gaps and build essential capabilities within the workplace.
Responsibilities
Support the delivery of learning and development initiatives
Provide administrative support to capture training attendance and record keeping
Assist planning, development and implementation of staff learning and development strategies
Ensure administrative processes related to learning and development are maintained and record keeping is consistently applied
Assist with scheduling of learning enrolments and ensure value for money is achieved
Monitor and report on learning and development budgets and programs
Provide quality customer service and create value for the community
Qualifications
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or similar, or demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role with ongoing professional development
Database management experience
Experience in identification of learning opportunities and needs
Demonstrated ability to identify methods to address learning opportunities and needs
Understanding of the Australian Qualifications Framework
Knowledge and understanding of local government operations and systems
Strong written and reporting skills to provide information and recommendations to various audiences, with experience using Microsoft Office and electronic records management
Other Information
The commencing salary for this position is up to $76,951.86 per annum.
Progression up to $89,160.44 per annum on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation
Temporary full-time position available
Hybrid and flexible working conditions (2 days from home, 3 days onsite)
Role located at the Wyong Administration Building
Council may create an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may use this list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
